Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers this website, the project form on Start a project, and call bookings made through the booking link on this site. Work we do for clients is covered by the written agreement for that engagement.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Project form: your name, work email, company, the type and stage of your project, its goals and description, budget range, timeline and an optional link you choose to share.
• Email: anything you send when you write to us directly, or when the form opens a pre-filled message in your own email app.
• Call bookings: the details you enter when you book a call, such as your name, email, chosen time and any notes.

Please don't include sensitive personal information, or confidential information you aren't permitted to share, in the form or a booking.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

How we use it

• to read and reply to your inquiry and prepare for a call;
• to schedule, confirm and manage calls you book;
• to keep the website secure, working and free of spam;
• to keep business records and meet legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run this site. They process information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies:

• Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the function that receives the project form, delivers form submissions to our inbox by email and, if enabled, checks submissions for spam with Turnstile.
• Cal.com provides call booking. When you book, the information you enter is handled by Cal.com under its own privacy policy, and shared with us so we can hold the call.
• Our email provider stores the messages and form submissions we receive. We use Gmail via Cloudflare Email Routing.

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you pause the site's animations, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. Our hosting and booking providers may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security or for the booking tool to work.

Retention and security

We keep inquiry and booking information only as long as we need it to respond, to follow up on a possible engagement, and to keep reasonable business records, then delete it. We use reasonable safeguards, such as access controls and encrypted connections, to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to legal or contractual limits. Email hello@avenorbit.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site or our providers change, and will update the effective date when we do. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@avenorbit.com.
